Lation Sedan Premium advise needed
« on: November 09, 2009, 11:30:46 PM »
Dear all,

I just bought a OPC Black Nissan LAtio Sedan Premium. Understand that sedan version does not look as chio as hatchback, but the price is much cheaper.
Price I pay is $58500.
Free gifts : DSR bodykit, alarm, system 6 car protection paint, solar screen and floor mat.

As  such , I am going to mods the following upon collection of my car. Need yr expertise advice.

1) My Car will come will DSR bodykit. I understand that the car is low and sure will bua the body Kit. Any solution to this ?

2) I intend to upgrade my Rim to 16 or 17inch. How bad will my fuel consumption affect ?
Any rims or types to recommended?
Any shop to recommended ? Stamford tyre ?
What will be the price if I trade in my stock rim and tyres?
What is the market price for 17in rim and tyres?

3) I realised some of yr front grill is very chio, without nissan wording. What is the price of it and where to change?

4) Does my car comes with reverse sensor ?

5) How much to buy window visor ?

6) What will be the basic and initial changes that need to be change upon car collection?

7) Ref my free system 6 paint protection, is it sufficient? Do i need anti rust protection ?

Kindly advise me. I read alot of the forum but somethings I still dont understand. As such decide to create a thread to ask for advice.

Thanks you.

Reverse sensor, floor mat and solar film are stardard items given, unless you want to upgrade them.
Visor should be very cheap as TC install OEM type. last heard was about $40?
Rust protection is up to individual, I prefer to have it and asked that for free.
paint protection - according to my SE, one time can liao, and as long as u wash and wax your car regularly, should be ok, or else u need to send back every 6 mths to maintain it, i think up to individual too.
As premium came with a number of additional items compare to basic, so I don't think there is much you need to change, at least for me (I will collecting my car next week)

No, you have to ask for it. as I travel north quite often, so I need it and ask to replace those luxury items such as side mirror LED to paint and rust protection. still thinking want to install auto fold mirror as it was given free.

for the rust protection, if you do it outside, 1st time I think is about 200 to 300+. yearly just pay up $50 to re-apply.

Hi, I am also collecting my Latio next week.
As I am getting the YOM2008, I jokingly asked my salesman if the car will show rust.
Then, he assured me that all Nissan car will get paint and rust protection before delivery.
He showed me a computer printout of order checklist where it shows QC check, paint protection, windows tint were completed (with dates). Pending registration plate and IU.
He also said the paint and rust protection can tahan 3 years.

The rust protection is referring the protection under the car body, something like TUFF-KOTE , it won't come with it but what i understand was car from Japan to Singapore, they already apply some protection.
