I have since put a thermometer at the vent - that way, I can observe the temperature of the air that is being blown into the cabin

Continuing my air-con saga:
4 years 8 months - Cooling coil leaking replaced.
5 years 6 months - Now sometime not cold. Check by workshop found no leak. Mechanic in JB comment the compressor may need to change (RM400 for recon unit). I suspect the magnetic clutch not good sometime not engage because when you press the "air-con" button, the rpm went up but do not hear the distinctive magnetic clutch engage "teac" sound. Finally found contact loose next day. Unplug and plug in ok.
6 years 4 months - Milage about 120k. Yesterday the compressor completely jammed-up on TPE. Really shitty because of the haze and workshop is closed for the weekend.

My aircon compressor up loory on 4th or 5th year....  :blink:

Now I got another problem.... sorry not familiar with Cars part.... there is a part behind the glove compartment that is controlling the aircon, is faulty.... I can on the aircon but totally no wind come out..... the mechanic replace a few time but some only last a day.....  :confused1:... say the connection not good.... kao..... each cost $155++..... drive 1 day change 1 time I will be broke....  :crying:........ though till now, he change for free, but claim the supplier will not honour the changing..... told me common problem... kao.... how?? If go TC, sure kena chop into pieces....

hi bro,it could be the blower faulty,causing the module to burn again.the module need the blower to cool down whenever u on the a/c.did't the mechanics check the blower motor????

3. dsrio           spoilt when car just pass 3 years warranty, foc goodwill

4. papajo82     spoilt recently. car 2 years 1 month

5. enzoni         replaced leaking cooling coil when car is 3yr 8mth old

6. jonpaul0104 replaced aircon compressor when car is 4yr 2mth old

7. zippy          replaced a/c compressor today. Car is 1yr 6mth old.

8. marcus        air-con not cold since day 1.

9. priyana       replaced aircon compressor when care is 3yr 3mth old (at outside workshop since TCM quote higher)

10. Jazonthemove replace cooling coil leaking @ 2yr old

11. Jazonthemove replace a/c friday 12.02.2010 @ 2yr 11mth

12. junchen air con not cold when car is 1 yr old. Replace with a new aircon compressor.

13. sengkang replace compressor @ 2 yrs 9 mths

14. nakshire ac forever not cold. TC say i too kiasu, but i really dun feel that its cold...

15. lyh1280 changed twice, once under warranty at ~80K, once after warranty over ~140K...

16. cm2109 changed at abt car 1.8yrs(34k), now same problem again car just after 3yrs
(64k), out of warranty now pending reply from to Nissan Japan.

17. Kanzo replaced a/c evaporater assy ( a/c coil ) when car 2yrs 11mths and 20 days old.. just in time

18. andromeda2000 replaced compressor (under warranty) last week when i complaint that engine is noisy @ 1.5 yr old (30k)

19. legan replaced compressor (under warranty) last week when i complaint that engine is noisy @ 1.5 yr old (50k)

20. ksliew: compressor replaced after 2yrs. Loud whirring noise from engine compartment.

21. fmz : aircon gas leak. noise since early feb. gone today. 41mths

22. a40x: aircon gas leak and blowing hot air. noise since last week. (warranty just over by 2 weeks)

23. coolant gas leak after 2 yrs. 3rd times topup now pending for cooling coil replacement. Today, 40 mths

24. CSM: Compressor and Air con gone after 2.5yrs

25. Stealthy: Aircon not cold - evaporator coil leak after 2.5yrs

26. Archie_baby   Replace evaporator assy after 45 months

27. Phant : REPLACE AIR COND CONDENSER ASSY -WARRANTY 
     -   RENEW COMPRESSOR ASSY -WARRANTY

28. Xmen:Replace evaporator coil leak after 3.5yrs. Disappointed with Nissan quality

29. Mat: Replaced car compresor in Feb after 4.5 yrs. but now car is having problem with ac dont know will replace what next

31. detach8: cooling coil replaced at 1.5 years (approx 40,000km)

33. Leo: Cooling coil spoilt after 90K km or 3 yrs 5 months.

34. Kel: Gas leaked, not cold; Coil broke - 4yr 6 months...replaced at TCM 

35. pizzaboy: replaced a/c compressor 18mths, replaced coolin coil 39 mths

36. KT : replaced cooling coil - car ard 4 years old. Compressor quite noisy when starting engine. Think also about to up lorry. Now just waiting for it to totally die before replacing it. Finally replaced my compressor yesterday. Car around 6 years old. Air con been working on and off for the last 2 months and I finally had enough of its lady tantrum

37. Hirofumi : Aircon not cold when driving upslope. after 2 years 4 mths... TCM say no problem..

38. ckmckm: compressor spoil due to cooling coil change. cooling coil change due to leaking. bad service from Tan Chong Ubi. Small problem become big problem. Change when car about 5 years 6 month old

40. Everince: Replaced the Compressor after 3yr 3 mth by TCM. My ride so far approaching 7 year...aircon still ok as long as replace air con filter regularly...

41. 1258:air con not cold when 2.5yrs went buck to TC to get it done, but now just one yr later it cum buck again.....
