Broken Side Signal Light
« on: June 08, 2010, 06:07:50 PM »
3 weeks ago my side signal light clip that holds the signal light to the body broke off (right side). Had it replaced in TCM for $35. They could not change the bracket, but only the whole damn thing. Now just last night my ride side broke off as well and it was replaced before 2 years ago when it was under warranty

Anyone know where else i could get a replacement at a lower price? Anyone else had theirs broken off before ?

Check with the stockist.  eg, Teck Guan or go to waterloo centre and find.

Both of mine broke last yr... Went to Tan Chong and apparently the guy was saying the clips should not break and asked if I know if it was because someone trying to "borrow" (ie steal) the light, thus resulting in the clips being broken...

Huh, that is very unusual. Don't think it is common occurrence.

I talked to one guy in riverview auto on one latio that has this issue.  Think he changed that as the sound is very unbearable and damage is around 300plus.  Mine also start to have this tok tok sound on very extreme turn.

Yea it cost around there even from TCM

I understand that it's a manufactured defeat so even after replacing it, the noise would still return. Re-grease would help, but just for a couple of months before the noise is back

I think you guys here have replaced the coupling several times during warranty?

$35!  just use a bit of double sided tape to fix it.

Mine just broke off on the right side. Anyone knows where to change it other than the tan chong.
