I just got the alarm from Tan Chong for $158 3 days ago when doing my 3rd servicing.
I like the autolock feature when brake is depress and unlock when ignition off.

I got mine from SE....there is a slight problem...everytime i reverse the gear...i get two continuous "beeping" sound, one from the car reverse mode, another from the reverse sensor...do everyone here has this same "sense-surround-sound" experience also?

I don't think this has got to do with the alarm.  I learnt to filter off the reverse mode beep mentally, so not mush a problem for me.

Features of TCM Alarm system
1) Car Search & Panic Activation;
2) Lock and Unlock Function;
3) Use Original I-key as Remote Control;
4) Rear Boot Lock Security Function;
5) Car Horn Function as Alarm ;

Yes, it can autolock when u start engine and auto unlock when you off engine, no need to lock/unlock  the door manaully
When u go to the service center, just ask them and they will tell you

Cheers

Does this Car Alarm have Anti-Thief function, since it's called car alarm?

I only knew that Latio doesn't come with a loud alarm to help locate car when I collect my car.

My SE told me that car alarm is not necessary because our Latio has immobilizer.

But now, I often have problem to find my car especially in big car parks. So, I'll install it in next service.

Latio alarm-$156  come with car search function!!!. Press the I-key lock button twice wll trigger the search function. If someone unlock the door without I-Key, will activate the alarm as well. It uses car horn function as alarm. VERY VERY LOUD.....   :blink:

Hi lsls, Thank you very much for the info!

leclub, wow, you have many i-Keys? I guess just one i-key is enough. They should be able to just mod at the receiver side, no need to config i-Key.

You don't have to bring the spare key along. There is no programming needed. The alarm works only with I-Key not the spare key given to you when you collect your car. The alarm is a addon to the existing system.
