Condensation on side of headlamps ?
« on: March 27, 2008, 12:15:51 AM »
Hi fello Lation Bros/Sis,

Did any1 of u experience water vapor condensation on the side of your headlamp after driving in heavy rain ??

I noticed this during my 1st week after collect my ride, went back TCM, make noise they claimed it is normal, some more say got Technical paper, insist they showed me until now can't produced.

Just received call from cust svc ( TCM ), informed me that I will get " goodwill " replacement but if happened again can't help.
Now waiting for TCM to call me up to pre-arrange appointment to replace both headlamps, hopefully can resolved, wish me luck..... :Goodluck: :Goodluck:

if a headlamp is well sealed. There's no reason for vapor to appear. Unless... hehe... the sillicon sealing is wearing off.

Hi All,

According to my experience, u shd not have condensation inside the lens cover, if it happened, something wrong, get it change becos it is under warranty.. I know of this info becos i supplied coatings to car headlights manufacturer,  ::) and condensation is consider as failed lamps when they QA/QC their lights, and Nissan can always claim this exchange fr their OEM suppliers if u claim fr TC..

Regarding the technical paper/info fr TC, dont tink it will show the condensation as normal, it should show as fault, u let us see if TC dares to show to u n say it is normal, hehe...

Simple...

agreed.  if i notice any condensation again definitely will go back and ask for replacement.  won't accept nonsense like "it's normal" unless TCM can show me ALL the Latios in SG have this problem
