Best to avoid NTUC as it is very troublesome when it comes to claiming and they usually don't give you the full claim amount.

For MSIG, they quoted me $1,560 after NCD 10%... Excess is $500. Furthermore you can bring the car back to agent for repair if encounter accident. Windscreen replacement should be unlimited. For DBS card holder, you can pay the premium by installment.

This year premium seems to have gone up. I didn't have time to shop around and just paid the $1300 quoted by AIG. Last year I paid same amount (so this year should be lesser with increased NCD right? But...) Last year, I got a few quotes and surprisingly, AIG was the cheapest. NTUC quoted me 1500 for any workshop plan, MSIG, citibank and somebody else quoted me about that amount too. AXA's wa most ex at 1600.

The premiums are dependent upon several factors, like your occupation, age, history of claims, make & model & market value of car etc.

So it can vary a lot.

To get the best quote, it is best to contact an insurance agency which will source for the best quote for you from several insurance companies, eg. from AIG, AXA, NTUC, China Insurance, India Insurance etc.

Yes. I called up ntuc and they too told me that insurance premium has gone up some 20% to 30% across the board.

Anyway, they quote me $900 for renewal, price includes 10% NCD. (classic plan)
