The premiums are dependent upon several factors, like your occupation, age, history of claims, make & model & market value of car etc.

So it can vary a lot.

Latio Sedan '06. Same as mine.
Not much variation. SE showed us the standard AIG insurance premium schedule when we first buy car. He has been paying this rate since because it is the lowest already. So to pay $1000+ for 60+ years old with 50%NCD is not cheap.
For me got some mark up from standard schedule because my driving record in Singapore not very long.

From my personal experience, all insurance companies are OK when it comes to claims except for NTUC which can be a little sticky and complicated.

You should have tried Maybank, India Insurance, China Insurance or EQ Insurance.

AIG premiums are on the high end.

just to check>> what is the difference in premium for ??if for the SAME car, the difference in premium quoted by each company is base what??

high premium = GOOD coverage/unlimited excess,etc
low premium = Lousy coverage or same coverage as high premium

High premium = good/ez claim process
low premium = bad/hard claim process

Maybe we can compile a list of Value for $$$ insurance for everyone.. then can put as sticky hehe

Low premiums does not equate to high excess or difficulty in making claims.

It is the company culture and management mindset.

Yes.

They also look at your job profile.

If you are outdoor salesman, premium will be higher as you spend longer hours on the road.
