Yep, no more in production, replaced by ER10 IIRC. So do not listen to BS and mis-leading info again just because LS only has 1 set left and not sure what is the year made.

Hi Jazz,

Like that huh...
NSman did tell me Hankook V2 is good also. But i only know GR80 is good. Haha. Too many brains, so I just simply take.
But I don't know we need to ask and check for the year made for the tyres. Haha...

Hello iagree,
Actually I also din bother about the year made also. To me if the tyres is properly sealed and storage, dun see much of a problem, same like digitals, ICs etc.

Unless the tyres are stored in a termperature and humidity controlled environment, they will deteriorate over time even if properly sealed.

It is like driving a time bomb if your "New" tyres are actually old tyres that have been sitting in the warehouse for some time.

Hi Jazz/iagree, AGREED with clarence, hv been informed that the tyre after certain time (not sure how long lah..), the quality will deteriorate, eg. the rubber will become too hard and not advisable for long distance travel...

Ya, read the news around 3 months ago that a Mitsubishi EX just came out from service, 1 of his tyre just dropped off.

Morning LatioR,
I have read that the rubber will hardened if exposed to UV, heat and water, usually this apply to used tyres. But for brand new that are properly sealed can last for quite some time but nobody dare to commit the lifespan.

You can still drive with your stock toyo tyre for more than 3 yrs for 47,000km already, so dun tell me if the same manufactured date that is sealed cannot be use ? Logic ? Maybe the tyre shop will sell at a discount for long storage for new tyres ? And I have not heard of expiry date for tyres.

Anyway it a good practice to check your tyres regularly.  ;)
