Can't compare price like that coz each service in the package may not be same price. the order of servicing your car come in a cycle of Basic >> Intermediate >> Basic >> Major Service then back to Basic service.  so 40k, 80k and 120k service is consider Major service which you change more $$$ parts. You will want a package which will include the most extensive part/labour for Major service. TCM package come with two basic, one Intermediate and one Major service. You can start with any service and the cycle goes round.

TCM call Basic as plan A, Intermediate as plan B and Mojor as plan C.
eg. I started with 40K (C) service, so next service is A >> B >> A.

note: CVT oil change is included in most Major service but TCM will only change it at 60K interval.

Hi Ying

Oh, 40k (C), then after 40k need to service plan A then B then A again.
Each plan has different things to check.
I think as long as the ride has no major problem, i thk shld be ok.

Hi LatioR,

thanks for the info on the spark plug. but if we want to hv stronger power for our ride, chg to a better spark plug is good ya?

oh, no problem for the autosaver service detail. i feel that i service in msia is the same coz i thk is quite normal checking for car... even if we service at TCM, i thk is abt the same... most imptly is the mechanic know how to detect the defects in our rides, that is the most impt & appreciateable one coz it is for our driving pleasure & 'safe life' , uagree?

regards.

Hi iagree, understand that Malaysia do not have CVT latio there and that's why they are not so sure abt CVT transmission oil when i ask them abt it. Others sb quite standard one i believed..

Hi Jazz,

You mean the Aircon filter we can buy & change ourself? It's easy to change?

If so, then I prefer to DIY loh? Please clarify.

IMHO, i don't feel Autosaver is much greater than any other workshop in SG or MY. They are similar.

But for now, I think I start to love TCM more bcoz our Nissan car shld go back to TCM for their "detail" servicing (if possible, if the price or package is not too expensive), even though we do not know whether they follow the whole checklist (based on the KM) or not, but at least the items on the checklists were ticked & there is another section indicated it's dbl check by Supervisor? That gives me the another level of confidents on their servicing liao, you agree?

TCM @ Bkt Timah, the lounge is nice and comfortable, + free 7 types of drinks (DIY dispenser), + sometimes got pretty girls walk pass (i like it). So, go for TCM man.............!!!

Thanks.

Hi Jazz

Oh, thanks for info. Will look into it.

Clarence? I think so, I forgot who suggested Autoshaver to me liao :) But, no harm done, all abt the same, as long as the price is reasonable for the services rendered to us (so far i didnt see any much special one if i vs Msia workshop. Msia workshop dun have the 'lounge' oni & most of the workshop are not very well maintain, not very clean ;) )

Whether you service at Autosaver, River View or Tan Chong, final decision is yours.

I just share with everyone if I know of any value-for-money alternatives.  ;D

Hi iagree, i've confirmed that malaysia do not have CVT model (confirmed via SE from TCM in malaysia) and 1 of the TC "authorised" workshop almost used Proton transmission fluid oil Vs the recommended NS2 (can't remember it's NS-2/N2/NS2 liao) fluid oil. CVT trasmission fluid oil is Not the same with normal auto transmission flui oil..

I myself also go back TCM for servicing. Still thinking after warranty period end, shld I continue or go for Autosaver but for a peace of mind tho. Anyway, a lot of positive comments on AS too.

I going for my 5K servicing despite I just did 40K. Alignment run abit, so might as well go TCM check before I go for Vicom inspection.  Money fly  :crycry:

Hi LatioR,

Oh, that's gd then, meaning SG's Latio (CVT) is good leh.
But in other word, meaning Msia's Latio got "pickup power" loh? right?

I think josho meant he might consider going for oil change at 45,000km and also take this opportunity to sort out his wheel misalighment  before he sends hsi Latio for inspection.\

josho,

You can actually just send your Latio outside to aligh your wheels. A waste to change oil at 45,000km if you used synthetic oil at 40,000km oil change.
